1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Rhino Safaris website and your booking of travel services through Rhino Safaris (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa (Reg. No. [insert]), herein referred to as “Rhino Safaris”, “we”, “our”, or “us”. By booking a safari or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in accordance with South African law.

2. Booking and Payment

• All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed in writing via email.
• A non-refundable deposit (typically 30%) is required to secure your booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Full payment is due [60/90] days prior to the start of the safari. Bookings made within this period must be paid in full at the time of confirmation.
• Payments can be made via EFT, credit card, or secure online payment portal as provided.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by the Client:

• More than 90 days before safari: Deposit retained, remainder refundable.
• 60–89 days: 50% of total safari cost retained.
• Less than 60 days: 100% cancellation fee (no refund).
• All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Cancellation by Rhino Safaris:
We reserve the right to cancel a safari due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, safety concerns, or failure of third-party suppliers. In such cases, we will offer a full refund or reschedule, but cannot be held liable for costs outside our services (e.g., flights, visas).

4. Travel Insurance

It is a condition of booking with Rhino Safaris that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, loss of personal belongings, and travel delays. Proof of insurance may be required.

5. Medical Conditions and Special Requirements

You are responsible for informing us of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or mobility issues at the time of booking. While we will do our best to accommodate all needs, we cannot guarantee availability or suitability of all facilities.

6. Liability Disclaimer

• Rhino Safaris acts as a tour operator and agent for third-party service providers (lodges, transport, guides). We are not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by any third party or act of God.
• Participation in wildlife activities carries inherent risk. By booking, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk and agree to sign indemnity forms where required.

To the maximum extent allowed under South African law, Rhino Safaris shall not be held liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

7. Use of Website and Information

All content on this website, including itineraries, pricing, and images, is the property of Rhino Safaris and may not be reproduced without written permission. We reserve the right to change any information without prior notice.

8. Personal Information and Privacy

Rhino Safaris complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). By booking or submitting information through our website, you consent to the collection and lawful processing of your data for purposes related to travel planning, communication, and legal compliance.
We will never sell or disclose your information to third parties not involved in the fulfilment of your booking, except where required by law.

9. Complaints and Disputes

Should you encounter any issues during your safari, please notify us as soon as possible so we can resolve it promptly. All complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of returning home.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising shall fall under the jurisdiction of South African courts.

10. Amendments to Terms

Rhino Safaris reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply.
